Michiel Houwen

Michiel Houwen’s love for games goes way back. This passion led him to graduating at Howest Digital Arts & Entertainment’s game development program in 2011 and Marketing in 2013. Playing games is one thing, making games and understanding the business around it is a whole other thing.

After four years as the general manager at DAE Studios, Michiel is now the Incubation Manager at Flanders Game Hub. Michiel enjoys coaching start-ups, organising game tech meetups, and setting up unique, cross-media collaborations. Michiel is also part of ForsVC, the first private fund for game studios in Belgium and is co-organiser of Unwrap: an international digital entertainment festival that takes place each year in Kortrijk.
