No more searching for the right content with PromoMii

PromoMii

Ever wonder why finding the right content is so time-consuming?  Curious to learn how it can take up less hours of your creativity? You ask, PromoMii delivers.

PromoMii

How did it all begin? PromoMii started out as a distribution platform for trailers, but soon realised that there was a much bigger problem to deal with before the actual distribution. That is, the content creation itself. They discovered that the workstream for finding the right scenes was incredibly time-consuming and 100% manual, labour-intensive work that took time away from the creative parts of the process. Manually logging 2 hours of content can take over 4 hours and then you might still have to go back and rewatch the content again, in case you forgot to indicate important events. With their new product called NOVA AI, PromoMii identified the emerging potential of cloud-based AI technology to streamline  some of the most time-consuming processes of video content creation.

A little bit more on NOVA AI

Nova A.I. is PromoMii’s newest addition that analyses and labels video content automatically, so you don’t have to. You can search for anything, including people, emotions, objects, activities, words and shot types as the software makes original footage and existing video content 100% searchable, down to the tiniest of details. This will allow you to spend a fraction of the usual time finding needed material and the ability to look through hours’ worth of footage and decades of video archives in seconds. Nova A.I. also analyses everything spoken in the uploaded videos, so users can burn or export subtitles from their video content in just a few minutes. Once the content is analysed, it will be stored on PromoMii’s cloud so you can create and maintain a searchable video database. And the best part, Nova A.I. can be easily integrated in Avid / Adobe Premiere / DaVinci Resolve or any other video editing software.

A collaboration with Sandbox Hub

It all started when PromoMii participated in Startup Bootcamp Media Amsterdam. Through that event, they were introduced to the Sandbox Hub and it’s people. Thanks to the Sandbox Hub, PromoMii was able to present their NOVA AI technology at international events and meet members of the Sandbox Hub community. In return, partners of the Sandbox Hub were able to test the tool and provide valuable feedback to improve the product. Through these collaborations, PromoMii is able to understand its customers' needs much quicker and tailor its product accordingly.

“The contacts and the feedback you get is so valuable. These partnerships are very important, and collaborating with Sandbox Hub has inspired us to look for similar organisations in the United States for example.”

Working your way up in a global pandemic

Even in  a  global pandemic, PromoMii was  able to deliver incredible work. With everyone working from home, they introduced structures to ensure everyone still felt like they were at the office. They scheduled daily morning and evening meetings  to talk about the to do’s, questions they had for each other, and where they were with things. The pandemic has been interesting for them in the sense that it was easier to get in touch with industry leaders that would otherwise have a lot less time.

“With everyone working from home, people have more time. Also, the situation has shown that you cannot really count on   things staying the same forever and I think businesses have realised the importance of innovation and are therefore more   open to trying out new things and tools like ours.” - Michael Moss, CEO & Co-founder of PromoMii

PromoMii continues to improve its product based on direct consumer experiences. By doing so, they want to help the people   in the media industry improve their use of archived videos.
