SCEENIC
Sceenic's Watch Together software solution (SDKs & APIs) allows media companies to quickly implement interactive co-viewing experiences in their own video and OTT platforms. This Watch Together technology then allows the end-users to watch together with their friends via video calls, making it a group and personal experience that builds communities.
Due to Covid-19, VRT Sandbox was in need of start-ups like Sceenic. No physical networking events could be organized between start-ups and scale-ups, so a solution was needed. Together with Sceenic, VRT Sandbox organised a live online interactive event with an audience of over 70 people, where the presenters and moderators had full control over the output. Another use case was organised with VRT NU, the streaming and on-demand platform of VRT. A live test was set up with the FC. De Kampioenen Christmas special to allow viewers to watch together with their friends and family through the VRT NU app. This was very much enjoyed by the end-user, much so that other brands from VRT gained interest to implement this technology (e.g. the Sporza team).
