TEMS

Trusted European Media Data Space (TEMS) brings together 42 organisations from 12 countries to build a common European media data space. After more than two years of preparation, the consortium has launched its work as part of a flagship EU initiative to create a resilient, data-driven media ecosystem. Supported by the European Commission’s Digital Europe Programme with a €16.5 million investment, TEMS is a key pillar of the European Data Strategy. It will enable media organisations to share and leverage data, strengthening local and regional media ecosystems across Europe.

TEMS will deploy advanced services, infrastructures, and platforms to support audience analysis, combat misinformation, improve production data flows, and foster the adoption of AI and virtual reality. By evolving existing platforms and providing open access to a shared data space, TEMS will accelerate digital transformation and enhance the competitiveness of the European media industry. TEMS empowers broadcasters to transform fragmented data into a strategic asset—automating transfers, strengthening internal governance, and breaking down silos to improve efficiency, while opening new revenue opportunities through archives and generative AI training.
