KISWE
Kiswe connects at-home viewers with live events and in-venue fans through interactive video experiences that create memorable social experiences and build loyalty. By use of a cloud-based remote production and commentary, they create a powerful streamlined production through a browser. The studio doesn’t require any software or hardware. Kiswe is a simplified digital workflow that scales broadcast, and saves time and money.
Back in 2016, VRT Sandbox and Sporza set up a use case with Kiswe to provide multiple live streams on the Sporza website by use of the OTT Player, play Diamond League trivia games and read additional info about the competitions. This created an "experience" that goes beyond classic OTT live streaming.
Due to this successful use case, Kiswe and VRT Sandbox collaborated again to create a virtual Tour of Flanders. Due to Covid-19, the real Tour of Flanders was postponed, but the cycling fan could still enjoy the first Tour of Flanders on rolls. 13 pro riders competed for victory in DeRonde2020 - a race from their own home. We found that providing sports in this type of format, highly attracted younger fans and even motivated the youth to watch cycling.
