White-label educational content e-commerce platform designed with 'inclusiveness' in mind
Because of the increasing demand for digital educational material, publishers need to rethink their production processes to make them more efficient and scalable. Due to the lack of the necessary IT capabilities to build multimedia platforms, education publishers have been slow to make this process transformation.
On a technical level, the main challenges are the itemization of digital content blocks, micro categorization, and the discoverability of the content. Current processes are either manual, expensive to manage, or require large amounts of content to convert into complex file formats.
Moreover, it doesn’t allow them to build a centralized system, that will enable them to organize, manage and monetize their digital assets.
Enter: Druid Learning
The Opportunity
Druid Learning provides publishers with a platform that simplifies the automatic micro-categorization of all kinds of digital content.
Their technology automates the indexing of digital content files into component digital assets, boosting content discoverability and minimizing the need for manual or costly processes. In this way, Druid Learning makes their content production process more efficient to increase the content output. Using any file type publishers can create video content libraries, digital content repositories, and multimedia e-books.
The VRT Use-case
Druid Learning applied for the European accelerator for media startups: STADIEM. After a successful pitch and fruitful discussions, they signed an agreement with VRT to create a next-generation content management tool.
Tim Van Lier, Expert Learntech at VRT Sandbox experiments with all kinds of initiatives around education. One of those is called 'Edubox'. Edubox is an educational media format from VRT NWS which wants to inspire young people in an active, playful way.
To create and distribute such Eduboxes you need an extensive production process. Fortunately, via STADIEM, he can count on Druid Learning to make it more efficient, searchable and thus scalable.
Druid Learning will present their newly developed automation features and content management platform for the Edubox Team at the end of January 2023. To be continued...
